  • This course is appropriate for all ages and levels of understanding from a new learner of scripture to those more familiar with the text.

    NOTE: Students who have previously taken this course will not repeat the material learned in 2024 - 2025. New scriptures and topics will be covered for the 2025-2026 school year.

    In this Bible course, students will explore the following, but not limited to:

    • How to have a relationship with Christ and serve Him daily

    • How to read Scripture in context as well as with the culture of the time it was written

    • How to apply Scripture in our daily lives

    • How to study Scripture in the original languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek)

    This class will progress at the pace of the class, and student questions and topic ideas are encouraged. No written homework for this class; there will be assigned Scripture reading.

    • A Bible (NOTE: Students will be encouraged to write and highlight in their Bibles.) No electronic Bibles or The Message translation.

  • This course is intended as an introduction to Spanish for high school students. Students will learn basic Spanish with vocabulary and grammar focused on the ability to communicate. The class will include Bible memory verses in Spanish as well as vocabulary that will help in sharing the gospel. Learning a foreign language requires studying more than two days per week, so students should expect to study about an hour a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

  • This course is intended to further students’ understanding of Spanish beyond Spanish 1.  Students will progress from present tense to past and future tenses while learning additional vocabulary and how to share their testimony in Spanish. Learning a foreign language requires studying more than two days per week, so students should expect to study about an hour a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

  • This will be a “silent class.” During the first few classes Mrs. Moore will instruct the students in how the class will operate, and then it’s all signing from there. Mrs. Moore has close to 40 years of teaching experience in the area of ASL.

  • Students will build on their foundation to acquire new vocabulary and conversation skills. 

    Prerequisite: ASL 1 

  • This class is designed for students of all athletic abilities.

    Athletics is a body weight fitness class designed to improve strength, speed, agility, and acceleration for improved athletic performance.

    Each class consists of a dynamic warmup followed by a strength session and a session of one of the following: plyometrics, speed, acceleration, or lateral change of direction. The class also includes active team games to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and fun! Games include basketball, flag football, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and soccer.

    We will journal progress via a monthly fit test to measure standing vertical jump, 10 yard sprint, broad jump, lane agility, line hops, push-ups, and planks.

    Students will learn proper technique for each exercise to avoid injury. Types of exercise include: Push-ups, planks, lunges, lateral shuffles, squats, squat jumps, dips, calf raises, box jumps, etc.

    Prerequisites: None

    Required Attire: Please have students bring proper attire for working out. Tennis shoes, athletic pants/shorts, etc. No jeans, crocs, sandals, or boots. Students will be given time at the beginning of the period to change clothes.
