Janet Plunkett comes to Scholars with 28 years of teaching experience in the public school system. Twenty-seven of those are in New Caney ISD. She has taught grades 5-8, Algebra I and tutored College Algebra.

During her years of service she has served in various roles such as Team Leader, TAP mentor, Department Chair, mentor teacher for new teachers as well as multiple student teachers, Campus site based committee as well as district level advisory committee. Janet has a passion for teaching math and helping her students reach their full potential. 

Janet and her husband have been married for 29 years and reside in Atascocita. They currently attend Key Life Fellowship Church in New Caney with their family. Over the years Janet has served in the nursery and Children’s Ministry as well as AWANA.
