Rachel Burcham
Rachel Burcham graduated from Baylor University in 2001 with a B.A. in Spanish and Speech Communication. While studying, Mrs. Burcham spent a summer in Spain, and then spent a summer with a missionary family in Venezuela after graduation. Her first professional job involved travel to businesses in Mexico to do training on management software. Mrs. Burcham taught Spanish both in a private school and private Spanish lessons before having children. She has also been able to use her Spanish more recently serving in the Northeast Houston Community Center sharing the gospel to clients as they receive food and clothing.
Currently, Mrs. Burcham attends Houston Northeast Church and is active in children's ministry there. She has done music for the toddlers with lots of enthusiasm and a minimum of musical talent, as well as teaching preschool, first grade, and currently second grade.
As a homeschool mom, Mrs. Burcham has taught her three kids for nine years so far. They are 10, 12, and 14 years old. Eric Burcham is her husband of fifteen years and is a software engineer. Both of them are native Texans, and although they have lived in a few different cities, they've always lived in the Lone Star State.
